BECA is a non-profit organization that recruits volunteer teachers to work for a year at a bilingual school in Honduras. BECA recruits 10-13 teachers each year to work at San Jeronimo Bilingual School (SJBS) in Cofradia, Honduras. In exchange, SJBS offers full and partial scholarships to low-income families in the community. The scholarship program allows many poor children in Cofradia the opportunity to receive a bilingual education, a privilege that is usually only available to upper class families in Honduras.

We hope to see you and your T-shirt there!

P.S. If you need some inspiration, check out a few of last year's favorites!

SWEET-ER Charity

Happy New Year!!

We resolve to make 2009 even SWEETER than 2008 . . .

This month, we will be supporting Two Together.
Founded in 1971, this city-wide program provides free tutoring to over 100 children, ages 8-18, annually. Children who score below grade level in reading and math, or have other learning needs, are eligible for the program. Referrals come from schools, parents, synagogues, churches, community agencies and word-of-mouth.

Hope to see you on Friday, Jan 30th :)
