A big thanks to everyone who braved the vertigo and chilly temperatures last night!

With your help and generosity, we were able to raise $950 for Books For Kids! And, that brings our total money raised to over $30,000 since January 2008 . . . Yay!

It's June and we're collecting donations for Books For Kids. This organization is dedicated to promoting literacy among young children, especially those lacking access to book at home, by creating libraries, donating books and partnering with literacy programs.

Our own Sweet Charity co-founder and NYQ board member Kristi Patterson is trying to help save this 40-year-old New York institution, which Rolling Stone called "the most important poetry magazine in America"... and your help would be most appreciated.
